INTERLIS

INTERLIS is a data description language and a transfer format with special consideration of spatial data ( GIS data format ) and the model-based method. As a main task to develop Interlis with a conceptual data model (sometimes referred to as semantic data model).

The syntax of INTERLIS 1 draws heavily on Modula -2. The program of the Geospatial Data Abstraction Library GDAL / OGR contained ogr2ogr supports, among others reading and writing of INTERLIS.

Versions

There are two versions of Interlis who are also Swiss standards of the Swiss Association for Standardization ( SNV ):

  • INTERLIS 1: SN 612030 - Surveying and Geoinformation - INTERLIS modeling language and data transfer method ( edition :1998- 11); relational data modeling
  • INTERLIS 2: SN 612031 - Surveying and Geoinformation - INTERLIS 2 modeling language and data transfer method ( edition :2006 -05); object-oriented data modeling

Interlis provides for data transfer both a model file (* ili. ) And a transfer file (1: ITF, 2: XTF )

Examples of INTERLIS data models

  • INTERLIS -1 Data Models: Data Model of Cadastral Surveying in Switzerland DM.01 - AV -CH and cantonal models with more requests
  • INTERLIS 2 data models: Small interface, Swiss data model for the transfer of property description, law enforcement equipment and owner data between the cadastral survey and land registry.
  • Data structure urban drainage VSA -DSS the Association Swiss Water Pollution Control Association ( VSA)
