International Association of Financial Executives Institutes

The International Association of Financial Executives Institutes ( IAFEI ) is a non-profit organization that deals with issues of finance and commercial management. Founded in 1969, connects IAFEI as an international confederation of national CFO organizations around 12,000 financial decision makers in companies all over the world. The association was founded by Swiss civil law (Articles 60-79 ) and is registered in Zurich. Its secretariat is located in Makati City, Manila in the Philippines.

History

The First International Congress of Financial Executives took place in 1969 in Marbella. It was hosted by the Association of Spanish finance directors ( AEEF ). At the event, the creation of an umbrella organization of national financial decision- associations was initiated. In the following, the Second World Congress, which was held in Brussels in 1970, the statutes of the new association of 55 representatives of the 15 founding members ( the Directors of Finance institutes in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, were on the Philippines, Spain, the United Kingdom and its affiliated associations in the United States and Canada, today: FEI - Financial Executives International ratified ). One of the main initiators of the association's establishment was Karl- Gustav Ratjen ( Metallgesellschaft ).

Objectives

Purpose of the association is the promotion and unification of standards in the commercial management of business enterprises. The spread of best practice in financial management and support ethical Leitnormen as the collection of data (eg, the International Observatory of Management Control) provide in addition to the opportunity of networking essential priorities of the association's work dar.

The IAFEI World Congress is held annually since 1969. The Congress is rotationally aligned by a member institution in the country. The 43rd IAFEI World Congress was held in conjunction with the 6th CFO Summit Emerging Europe & CIS in October 2013 in Warsaw. Since 2007, the English laid IAFEI IAFEI Quarterly, a quarterly, digital magazine for its members.
