International Communication Association
The International Communication Association (ICA ) is an international association that focuses on the scientific level with the topics of communication and mass media.
Your goals are
- Providing an international forum to promote the development, implementation and critical evaluation of communication science research
- High-quality publications and scientific exchange
- Merging of scientists from different cultures and from different disciplines to the study of communication science articles
- Promoting the public interest in the communication science.
The ICA has more than 3,500 members worldwide. The current President (2006-2007), Prof. Ronald E. Rice of the University of California. His chosen successor (2007-2008) is Sonia Livingstone of the London School of Economics. The annual conferences of the ICA found mostly in North America instead (2007: San Francisco, 2008: Montreal), every few years, but also in other parts of the world (eg, 2006: Dresden, 2010 Singapore ).
