International Components for Unicode

International Components for Unicode ( ICU) is an open- source project for Unicode support and internationalization, which provides sophisticated C , C and Java libraries.

ICU is portable and can be used on many platforms. Programs that use ICU, produce the same results, no matter under which operating system or processor on which they are running or whether they use C , C or Java. ICU is sponsored, used and developed by IBM and other companies.
