International Council on Archives

The International Council on Archives (English International Council on Archives ICA - French Conseil International des Archives CIA ) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1948 with headquarters in Paris, which is dedicated to the archives.

In ICA national archive administrations, professional associations of archivists, and municipal archives, archives of other organizations as well as individual archivists are united. At the moment he has 1400 members from 190 countries and territories.

The Council is organized locally with regional branches, sections and working groups.
