International Diabetes Federation

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF ) is a worldwide organization for research and treatment of diabetes mellitus.

Organization

The company was founded in 1950, today it includes more than 200 member organizations in over 160 countries where it is the largest umbrella organization of diabetes. Its motto is: "To promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. "

The company is based in Brussels. The governing body is the Board of Directors. He makes use of the management and other subsidiary bodies. The member organizations are divided into seven regions with their own boards of directors.
