International Falcon Movement – Socialist Educational International

IFM -SEI stands for International Falcon Movement - Socialist Educational International ( German: International Falk Movement - Socialist Education International ). The IFM is the international association of 57 social-democratic and socialist-oriented children, youth and family organizations. In German-speaking, these are the SJD - Die Falken ( Germany ), the Red Hawks Austria and the Red Hawks Zurich ( Switzerland ).

IFM works with the Socialist International, as well as with the Socialist Youth International ( IUSY ) and the European Young Socialists (YES). IFM -SEI is also a member of the European Youth Forum. Seat of the IFM is Brussels. The precursor organization was established in 1922 in Klessheim near Salzburg. The actual foundation took place in 1924 in Hanover.

Important people from the German-speaking countries were or are Kurt Löwenstein ( 1922-1934 Vice Chairman), Uwe East Dorff ( 2001-2007 Secretary General) and currently Tim Scholz (President).
