International Planned Parenthood Federation

International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF ) is an international umbrella organization in the field of family planning. The organization is based, London. IPPF was founded in 1952 in Bombay, as the third International Conference on Planned Parenthood of 24 met to 29 November 1952. The organization also advocates abortion as a method of family planning and a woman's self -determination.

President from 1952 to 1959 was Margaret Sanger, which contributed significantly to the Legalierung the contraceptive pill world. Currently Andrea Cohen is chairman.
