International Rostrum of Composers

The Tribune internationale des Compositeurs is an existing since 1949 Forum of the International Music Council (IMC ) of UNESCO in Paris. The English name is International Rostrum of Composers.

The Forum promotes through collaboration with national broadcasters contemporary music. The first grandstand was in 1954 with the participation of Germany, France, Belgium and Switzerland. By 2002, the podiums were held in the French capital. Exception was the year 2000, where they - organized by the MuziekGroep Nederland and the Gaudeamus Foundation - took place in Amsterdam. Since 2003 Radio are France and other broadcasters delivery boy. Meanwhile, 30 organizations are involved. All works shall be forwarded by the European Broadcasting Union to its members via satellite. From 1991 to 2003, the best pieces were awarded the UNESCO Mozart Medal. Since 2004, inter alia, the UNESCO Picasso - Miro medal awarded.
