International Scout and Guide Fellowship

The International Scout and Guide Fellowship ( ISGF ), the World Association of Altpfadfinderorganisationen. It was founded in 1953 and is of the two Scout World Youth associations WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement) and WAGGGS ( World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts ) recognized. History

Even the founder of Scouting, Lord Robert Baden- Powell, 1931 came the first evidence for an association of Altpfadfindern.

Organization

World Committee and the World office

The ISGF is responsible for the administration, organization and growth of the global guild movement. It organizes international meetings, maintains contact with youth organizations, international and national institutions and coordinating all cross-border actions.

Every three years, a world conference held ( most recently in 2011 in Como), in which the World Committee ( eight members from eight countries ) is selected. The Chairman is the President, the World Committee is the governing body of the ISGF, it also includes representatives of WOSM and WAGGGS to. All countries that have at least 125 guild members are full members, the four delegates at the World Conference filters ( regardless of size ). These regional associations are called " National Fellowships " ( NF). Countries not (yet) reached this number are associated NF, who only seat but no vote. The ISGF had 2007 76.796 members in 67 countries.

The seven most members National Fellowships are Great Britain, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Czech Republic, Australia and Austria.

Actions

  • WOSM and WAGGGS support: ISGF transfers to the two World Youth Associations annually a fixed amount at the World Conference in support of the administration. In addition, the NF are supported in direct assistance to their local Scout organizations.
  • Twinning: ISGF mediated regional associations or guilds individual partners in other countries for networking, cross-border exchange of experience and direct assistance with property, or personal labor input
