International Students' Day

The International Students ' Day ( Weltstudententag, International Students' Day ) is November 17.

He was proclaimed in 1941 by the International Students ' Council in London and is reminiscent of the 1939 student protests in Prague against the occupation by the Nazis. The demonstrations were bloodily: On November 17, 1939 nine activists were executed without trial in the course of the promotion Prague. Over 1200 students were sent to concentration camps.
