International Year of the Child

The International Year of the Child proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1976 for the year 1979. The children's needs more attention should be given around the world. 1979 working groups were set up which worked out at the initiative of Poland to the UN Human Rights Commission, a Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC ).
