Internazionale F.C. Torino

The Internazionale Football Club Torino (short Internazionale Torino ) was an Italian football club based in Turin. The club was founded in 1891 and was created as a merger of two clubs in 1887, was established in Turin: Torino Football and Cricket Club and Nobili Torino. This Internazionale is considered the oldest Italian football club, since he only prescribed as the first sports club football.

The team also played the first friendly match between two Italian football clubs. On January 6, 1898 Internazionale Torino played against Genoa in the Campo di Ponte Carrega in Genoa. Internazionale won the game thanks to a goal from Savage, 1-0. The game was able to mobilize 208 spectators, the total income amounted to 101.45 lire.

Internazionale and Genoa in 1893 at that time were the two best and oldest Italian clubs. As in 1898 for the first time the Italian football championship was played, the two teams met in the final. Unlike in the friendly match, this time won the Genoa 2-1 nV. Also in 1899, the two teams met in the final and this time the winner was Genoa, where the Genoese won 3-1.
