Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy

The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy (IEP ) is a freely accessible online reference guide to concepts, themes and theorists of systematic philosophy and history of philosophy. It was founded in 1995 by James Fieser. The current general editors are James Fieser and Bradley Dowden. Among the authors are editors for Subjects and volunteers. The comments are often of relevant experts and always written at least graduate specialist scientists, through a peer review process and are usually reliable and of high quality, but often introductory than about the technical article in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. In individual cases, the IEP used temporarily but freely available text material or article published under the technical quality about Stanford or Routledge Encyclopedia. The IEP is not yet completed and is regularly updated; partly also older existing products with newer and better versions to be replaced.
