Interrobang#Inverted interrobang

The Gnaborretni ( ⸘ ) is a punctuation mark and is used to initiate Spanish, Asturian and Galician sentences, stop that with a Interrobang ( ‽, U 203 D). It is written as an upside-down Interrobang.

With LaTeX the Gnaborretni can be used from the tc fonts using the textcomp package, the associated command is \ textinterrobangdown. In the Neo keyboard layout, it may by Compose, 1 are generated in any order, (also from the numeric keypad ), followed by ¿ and ¡. Unicode contains the Gnaborretni at code point U 2 E18.

The practical significance of Gnaborretni is low. Even the Interrobang never got beyond a fad.

Etymology

The name Gnaborretni is read Interrobang backwards and was first used in 1995 by Jörg squire.
