Interstate 280 (Illinois–Iowa)

Interstate 280 (abbreviated I-280 ) is an east-west Interstate Highway in the western and southern areas around the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. It begins at Interstate 80 near Davenport and ends after 43 miles on Interstate 80 near Colona.

Course

From the intersection with the I- 80, the route of the Interstate 280, U.S. Highway 6 is used to the first exit. The I-280 then runs in a southerly direction and take in the southeast of Davenport on U.S. Highway 61, and shortly thereafter to the Iowa State Route 22 By crossing the Mississippi River on I- 280 Bridge reached the Interstate the state of Illinois.

At the first junction in Illinois State Route 92 branches off to the north, and shortly thereafter it is crossed by U.S. Highway 67. In the north of the Quad City International Airport to Interstate 280 meets again on the U.S. 6 Furthermore, it divides to I- 80, the route with Interstate 74
