Interstate 60 (film)

Interstate 60 is a Canadian- American feature from director Bob Gale from the year 2002.

Action

O.W. Grant often drives on Interstate 60 to mischief. The people he met, he grants each a wish, but not always as the Wishing it has hoped for. O.W. Grant will finally pay attention to Neal Oliver at its 22nd birthday and his wish - an answer for his life - impressed and intend Neal to fulfill this wish. Neal Oliver falls after the birthday dinner a bucket on his head and he wakes up in a hospital. Then his eyes open, so he can see unusual things and can no longer push through preconceived experiences first.

Since that moment, he is open to other opportunities that previously did not exist for him and is brought on a contract to deliver a package to via Interstate 60 - which can be found on any map - to go to Danver. He believes that to meet his true love in Danver and is therefore highly motivated. He experienced various adventures in different cities, which are affected by its decisions. At this point, he is reminded of his father and decides to choose any of the given directions. This decision changed and thus saves his life, because it separates the moment of the " omniscient ball " and brings the contract to an end.

The character of Neal Oliver was increasingly characterized Through these experiences, and he wakes up in the hospital at the same time as he is awakened for the first time. Even if everything he had experienced in the last few days, appeared to him only as a dream, and there are constantly little evidence that he has not dreamed of. He takes after the hospital his life into his own hands and decides to not meet the target of his father. Finally, a dream come true for him all the more and he finds his true love.

Background

Interstate 60 celebrated on 13 April 2002 at the Newport International Film Festival premiere. After a few more international festival screenings 2003 he was released on DVD in the U.S. ( Direct-to- DVD). In Germany, the film went on sale on 17 March 2005.

After the back -in- the - future trilogy Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd was originally brought back to together in a movie. Bob Gale was also active for this trilogy as a screenwriter (along with Robert Zemeckis ) and as co-producer.

Reviews

The lexicon of the International film describes the film as an " [e ] pisodisch structured, unconventional staged, in the supporting roles of prominent Road Movie." " In a fairytale form " wanted " the unassuming sensitize entertaining film for the state of American society, where he touches on provocative topics in an entertaining way ."

Awards

The film won at the 2003 DVD Exclusive Awards in two categories, and was nominated in four other. In 2004 he was nominated as the best DVD release for a Saturn Award.
