Interstate 88 (Illinois)

Interstate 88 is a part of the interstate highway system of the United States. The highway runs from the Quad Cities area, where they branched off from Interstate 80, according to the Chicago metropolitan area, crossing the northern Illinois. It provides an alternative route to parallel I-80 dar.

Was in the 1980s, as the nationwide speed limit of 55 mph (88 km / h) eased for the first time, the states were only entitled to increase the speed limit to 65 mph on interstate highways.
