Interstate H-3

The Interstate H-3 (short H-3) is an interstate highway in the state of Hawaii in the United States. The interstate is also known as John A. Burns Freeway.


It begins near Halawa on a cross with Interstates H- 1 and H- 201. Then it leads to bridges through the Halawa Valley and crosses the Koolau Mountains to the 1.5 km long Tetsuo Harano Tunnel. After the tunnel, the H-3 of the Haiku Valley follows. Having the State Routes 63 and 83 crossed the Interstate ends at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
