Inti

Inti, Inti also Tayta ( Quechua: " Father Sun ") is the sun god and the god of rainbows in the mythology of the Incas. He was represented as a golden disk with a human face. The ruling Inca was regarded as the incarnation of Inti. He was said to be the father of Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo. His wife Mama Killa was called. Was introduced in the Inti - cult ruler Pachacuti Yupanqui of 9, the first historically documented clearly Inca, in the first half of the 15th century. Every year the festival of the Sun ( Inti Raymi ) was celebrated in the Inca capital of Cusco at the winter solstice on June 21.

The symbol Inti is also found on the flags of Argentina, Uruguay and the Hispanic Heritage.
