Reception
Greg Prato of Allmusic saw in Introduce Yourself a step in the right direction with respect to the sound of the later albums. In particular, he described The Crab Song as striking, especially because Jim Martin's guitar, and as underestimated. The melodiosity and the bass line from Anne 's Song could make that into a " hit". He forgave four out of five stars.
