The ILT Velodrome in Invercargill is a multifunctional sports hall with velodrome and the only indoor velodrome in New Zealand.

In 2000, the Southern Railway Championships, which were held on the open web Kew Bowl, strongly affected by the rain. From this experience, the desire for a covered velodrome was built. It was decided to build a hall next to the Velodrome Stadium Southland.

The Velodrome was built for eleven million New Zealand dollars, which were brought together from private donations. It has a 250 meter long wooden track and has 43.2 degree bends. It was planned to the velodrome from Münster architect Ralph Schuermann and executed by Calder Stewart. In May 2006, the velodrome was opened construction after 57 weeks. It is in the complex of Southland stage and is also used for ball sports, after the roof of the stadium had collapsed after heavy snowfall in September 2010. The Velodrome is also home to an office building for the sports management.

2012 UCI Track World Junior Championships 2012 will be held in the ILT Velodrome. Multiple took place the New Zealand track championships here. The velodrome is the central training site for the New Zealand track team.
