Inverkeithing

Inverkeithing ( Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Ceitein ) is a port city and former burgh in Fife, Scotland on the Firth of Forth. The name Inverkeithing is Scottish Gaelic origin and means as much as the mouth of the Keithing. The river flows through the southern part of the Keithing place. The status of a Burgh was the place given in the twelfth century by King David I. Inverkeithing is located about fifteen kilometers north of Edinburgh Airport and about 6 miles from Dunfermline town center. Today, the port city goes about in the neighboring cities of Rosyth and Dalgety Bay with about 5000 inhabitants.
