Inverleith

Inverleith ( Scots: Inbhir Lite) is a district in the northern center of Edinburgh, Scotland. The district is located in northern Trinity and New Town in the south, south-west borders of Stockbridge, southeast Canon Mills. Distance to the city center is only two kilometers. The name derives from the River Leith ( for defining the same district of Leith mostly Water of Leith ), meaning " mouth of the Leith " or "Inner Leith ".

Inverleith is known for the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Fettes College and the former rugby field, which was used until 1925 for international matches. Since then, the Murrayfield Stadium is being used.

Inverleith has become the most prosperous district of Edinburgh. The houses have been built in the Victorian and Edwardian essentially age.
