Inzenhof is a municipality with 338 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Güssing in Burgenland in Austria.

The Hungarian name of the village is Borosgödör.

Geography

The municipality is located in southern Burgenland. Inzenhof is the only place in the community.

History

The place was like the rest of Burgenland to 1920/21 Hungary ( German West Hungary). Since 1898, had to be used because of Magyarization the government in Budapest the Hungarian name Borosgödör. After the end of World War II German West Hungary was awarded in the Treaties of St. Germain and Trianon in 1919 Austria after tough negotiations. The place belongs since 1921 to the newly founded State of Burgenland (see also history of Burgenland ).

Mayor is Jürgen Schabhüttl by the SPÖ, Deputy Mayor Andrew Koppel is also of the SPÖ.

The distribution of seats (11 seats) in the municipal council is 9 SPÖ and ÖVP 2

Coat of arms

On 28 March 2011 a coat of arms was adopted by the council for the community. This represents the historically occupied houses in Inzenhof with thatched roof and viticulture dar.

Blazon: ". About golden sign foot in a golden red house with black window openings and a golden gable roof, the roof beseitet two inturned golden grapes 4:3:2:1 with two golden leaves " The church colors have been defined with red / gold.

The coat of arms ceremony took place on 13 May 2012 at a ceremony held by the Landeshauotmann of Burgenland, Hans Niessl.
