Ioannis Malokinis

Ioannis Malokinis (Greek Ιωάννης Μαλοκίνης, * 1880 in Piraeus, † 1942) was a Greek swimmer.

Malokinis participated in the 100 meter freestyle competition, where only sailors were allowed to participate, who were stationed on warships in Piraeus, in part. Since only Greek warships were stationed at the time of the games in Piraeus, merely found a Greek starter. Malokinis was one of the original four starters in this sub-discipline, one was, however, in the meantime on. His time came to 2:20,4, with whom he was Olympic champion. This time was almost a minute slower than the winning time of the open 100 - meter freestyle competition, which was won by the Hungarian swimmer Alfred Hajos. Malokinis was then sixteen years old as the youngest Olympic champion of the competition.
