Filming

Gavrilă Ogoranu life was the subject of the film Portretul luptătorului la tinereţe ( German portrait of the fighter as a young man ) by Romanian director Constantin Popescu. The film was presented at the International Film Festival in Berlin in 2010 and drew protests from the International Commission for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania itself. This demanded to remove the film from the program. The festival refused on the grounds that they do not believe in censorship, but probably in discussion and education. She was aware that Ogoranu had made it public " extremist, racist and anti-democratic statements", these views but do not support, just like the movie.
