Iphthime

Iphthime (Greek Ἰφθίμη ) is a person of Greek mythology.

In Homer's Odyssey, she is the daughter of Ikarios and the sister of Penelope. She is the wife of Eumelus, king of Pherae in Thessaly. The goddess Athena created a Iphtime resembling in shape and had this vision of slumbering in grief for her husband Odysseus and her son Telemachus Penelope appear to comfort them.
