Ipso jure

Ipso jure (Lat. operation of law / by operation of law, even falsely " ipso jure " ) is a Latin phrase in the case law, according to which a legal action or a legal success without further action by the parties occurs.

A good example of an effect ipso iure is Germany's seizure of an inheritance: Prerequisite here is only the death of the testator. In the same moment draws the heir or heirs, but because the law so determines the position of the deceased one, whether this or these first want to or not.
