Ira Newborn
One of his best known works is the soundtrack to the Naked Gun movies. Even the music for the TV series The Naked Gun, the forerunner of the films he had composed. He began his career include the music for the film every night. Previously, he had worked as supervisor in Blues Brothers music.
1992 and 1995, he was honored for his work with the ASCAP Award.
Since 2000, Newborn has largely retired from the film business and teaches film- scoring at New York University.
