Iranian American

As Irano - Americans or Persian - Americans living people of Iranian descent are referred to in the U.S.. They are there to the most educated population groups: one in four has a master's or doctoral degrees.

Since the 1980s there has been a steady emigration from Iran to the United States. Most Iranians outside Iran are now living in the United States. Estimates vary between a half and two million Irano - Americans; most live in the LA area, also called " Tehrangeles " or " Irangeles ".
