IRAS 17423-1755

Hen 3-1475 or IRAS 17423-1755 is a pre - planetary nebula, cataloged by Karl Henize Gordon 1976.

The mist has a special S- shaped form with a set of nodes whose brightest in the X-ray range also intensely illuminated as an observation with the Chandra Space Telescope has shown. A spectroscopic investigation with the Spitzer Space Telescope in infrared region shows that there is an oxygen- rich star: I found absorptions of ice and silicate, whereas carbon compounds were not detected.
