ircu

Ircu is one of the few servers that are based on the original irc2.7 IRCDs.

At the time of irc2.8 code base, the software was repeatedly split off. ircu was a "TS" or "time stamping " ( German: time stamp) added - this happened in different versions to find the best option. Later versions have the P10 protocol.

Some other IRC daemons were derived from ircu, such as Nefarious, Dream Forge ( formerly used by DALnet ), UnrealIRCd, Asuka, Snircd ( used by QuakeNet).
