Ireland's Call

Ireland's Call is a song that was in 1995 commissioned by the Irish Rugby Football Union in order to be sung before the start of international matches of the Irish Rugby Union Team. Composer Phil Coulter. Later it took over the national teams in hockey, cricket and rugby league.

These teams represent both the Republic of Ireland as well as the belonging to the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland. Only teams that represent the Republic of Ireland alone, sing only the Irish national anthem Amhrán na bhFiann. In the remaining cases are played sequentially Amhrán na bhFiann and Ireland's Call at home games in the Republic of Ireland, at away games only Ireland's Call.

Usually, only the first verse is sung, followed by the chorus. The chorus is then repeated in a higher pitch. At the end of the last line of the chorus is also repeated.
