Ireland took at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing for the nineteenth time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The Irish team was named by the Olympic Council of Ireland. It consisted of 54 athletes in 12 disciplines. Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was Ciara Peelo.
