Irena Anders

Irena Anders ( born Iryna Jarosiewicz, also known by her stage name Renata Bogdanska; born May 12, 1920 in Bruntál, Czechoslovakia, † November 29, 2010 in London) was a Polish stage actress and singer.

Life

During the Second World War she worked in the troops of Henry Vars and gave ideas for the Polish Armed Forces in the West, who were under the command of General Władysław Anders. She was one of the first singers who maki na Monte Cassino ( Red Poppies on Monte Cassino ) sang the song Czerwone. After the Second World War she stayed in the UK. In 1948 she married Władysław Anders. She appeared in many movies. 2003, a documentary film about them. In 2007 she received the Order of Polonia Restituta.
