Irene Cara

Irene Cara (actually Irene T. Escalera, born March 18, 1959 in New York City (1962 according to his own statement ) ) is an American singer and actress.

Life

Irene Cara is the daughter of a Puerto Rican father and a Cuban who came to New York early 1950.

She has appeared as a child in the Spanish- language radio and TV in New York. At eight, she played in the Broadway musical Maggie Flynn, the age of ten she sang together with Roberta Flack and Sammy Davis Jr. in honor of Duke Ellington at Madison Square Garden.
