Irina Nazarova

Irina Nazarova Viktorovna (Russian Ирина Викторовна Назарова; born July 31, 1957 in Kaliningrad ) is a former Soviet track and field athlete and Olympic champion.

By far the biggest success of her career was winning the gold medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. The Soviet team sat down in the lineup Prorotschenko Tatjana, Tatjana Goischtschik, Nina and Irina Nazarova Sjuskowa with a time of 3:20,2 min against the couriers of the GDR ( 3:20,4 min) and Great Britain ( 3:27,5 min). Nazarova launched in Moscow in the 400 -meter run, finishing in a personal best of 50.07 s in fourth place behind Marita Koch, Jarmila Kratochvílová and Christina Lathan.

Irina Nazarova is 1.70 m and had a competition weight of 58 kg. Her mother Elizabeth Bagrianzewa won the silver medal in the discus throw at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki.
