Iriondo Department

The department Iriondo located in the southern center of the province of Santa Fe in the center of Argentina and is one of 19 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the department of San Jerónimo, in the east and southeast by the department of San Lorenzo, on the south by the Departamento Caseros and to the west by the department of Belgrano.

The capital of the department of San Lorenzo (Santa Fe) is Cañada de Gómez.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population increased from 65 486 inhabitants (2001) to 66 424 inhabitants in 2005.
