Irish Stock Exchange

The Irish Stock Exchange (ISE, irish na hÉireann Teo Stocmhalartán. ) Is the main stock exchange in Ireland. It was founded by the merger of the stock exchanges of Cork and Dublin, both of which reach back into their history to 1793. Benchmark index is the ISEQ Overall Index.

History

In 1799 the Irish Parliament passed a Stock Exchange Act, which ordered the relations of the two exchanges Cork and Dublin.

1973 merged the Irish Stock Exchange with the other British and Irish Stock Exchanges. From 1973 to 1995, the Exchange Dublin was a member of the International Stock Exchange of Great Britain and Ireland ( the current London Stock Exchange ). But in 1995, the Dublin stock exchange established new and broke with the British stock exchange.

On 6 June 2000, the ISE completed her floor at the Anglesea Street, Dublin 2, and set to an electronic platform, the ISE Xetra was called. Owner is the German Börse AG, acting so as well.
