Iron Crown Enterprises

Iron Crown Enterprises (short: ICE ) is an American game publisher. The company is primarily known as a manufacturer of pen & paper role-playing games Rolemaster and MERS, it has or had board, miniatures and collectible card games on offer.

The Virginia-based company was founded in 1980. Since then appeared next to the main plant of the company, Rolemaster, the style similar to JRR Tolkien's works Middle-earth role-playing game ( MERS ) and Middle-earth Collectible Card Game ( MECCG ) and the other role-playing games Spacemaster, Cyberspace and the Shadow World. 1989 cooperated with ICE Hero Games on Hero System. ICEs German licensee has long Queen Games for Rolemaster it is since 2006 sun festivals.

In August 1999, had to file for bankruptcy ICE. Fans from all over the world raising money to buy at an auction the rights to Rolemaster and to revive the brand. However, the efforts were not enough to keep even the number specified by Tolkien Enterprises license for Middle-earth products therefore remained MERS and MECCG set. Since February 2002 Iron Crown Enterprises sells products again. The company strives to bring every year at least nine new products in the Rolemaster, Shadow World and Space Master series on the market.
