Irving Oil is a Canadian company with headquarters in Saint John, New Brunswick. Its business areas include: oil production and processing, natural gas production and processing, petroleum sales. It is part of the Canadian conglomerate JD Irving.

History

Kenneth Colin (KC ) Irving founded the company in 1924 at age 25. The first gas station was located in Bouctouche, New Brunswick. 1924 opened Iriving a Ford dealership in Saint John. The company expanded into the Atlantic provinces of Canada during the thirties. 1940 to 1949 was followed by further expansion in Quebec and Newfoundland, as well as in 1972 in Maine. Together with the Standard Oil of California 1960 the refinery Staint John built. 1970, the first deep-water port for Eröl was opened in the Western Hemisphere in Saint John County. In 1977 the company began with the sale of lead-free gasoline at its stations.
