Isa Halim

ISA Halim (2012)

Mohammad Isa Bin Abdul Halim, better known as Isa Halim (born 15 May 1986), is a Singaporean footballer who is currently in Singapore LIONSXII in the Malaysia Super League under contract.

Playing career

Isa Halim played Sepak Takraw even as a child, before he decided at age 13 for football. He played on the junior team of Woodlands Wellington 2001. In his first season as a professional Isa Halim was there for four years later to the root formation and reached with his team at the end of the season the 3rd place in the table. In 2006 he then moved to the league rivals Young Lions, for which he was almost 4 years active. During the 2009 season, the defensive midfielder went to Home United, where he played until 2011. For the 2012 season Halim joined the newly founded club Singapore LIONSXII, which plays in the Malaysia Super League.

National

In the Singaporean national football team Isa Halim debuted on 11 October 2005 at the game against Cambodia. He won with the national team, the ASEAN Football Championship in 2007 and a bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games in 2007 and 2009. At the games in 2009 Isa Halim was captain of the national team.

Others

In 2008, the Singaporean presented together with international stars such as Lionel Messi, David Villa or the Adidas F50 TUNiT Arjen Robben football boot. Isa Halim is one of the representatives of the football department of Adidas.
