Isaac Florentine

Isaac Florentine is an American film director Israeli origin.

Already in the 1970s he busied himself with various martial arts. He was martial arts coach in the Israeli army, has a Dan, and among other Karate in Stockholm. Florentines directing career began with the short film Farewell Terminator, with whom he won the Mugrabi Film Festival and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film narrowly missed. He went to the United States and was there mostly for film production company Nu Image works, which mainly produces B-movies and martial arts movies. Films like Cold Harvest (1998), Fight of the Dragon ( 1999), U.S. Seals 2 (2001) and Undisputed 2 (2005), and collaboration with well-known actors such as Scott Adkins and Jean -Claude Van Damme established his reputation as a director for hectic action scenes and unconventional camera angles. Noticeable also is a frequent use of similar comic onomatopoeia and bonds from Asian films and spaghetti westerns.

Florentine is married and has four children.
