Isaac Peral
Isaac Peral y Caballero ( born June 1, 1851 in Cartagena, † May 22, 1895 in Berlin) was a Spanish engineer and submarine pioneer.
He built in 1888 the submarine Isaac Peral. It was 21 m long, had two 30 -horsepower engines and a torpedo tube. 1889 Peral made the first three successful tests with the Whitehead torpedo. This is a propeller driven by a sea mine. However, his plans were not supported. The boat is now in Cartagena.
