Isaac Promise

Isaac Promise ( born December 2, 1987 in Zaria, Nigeria ) is a Nigerian football player. Since the 2012/13 season he plays for the Turkish first division club Antalyaspor.

Career

Association

Isaac began his career in the second league of Nigeria at Grays International. There, he set out with his performances in big clubs in Europe closely. Promise was invited together with John Obi Mikel from Manchester United on trial. However, Manchester United ruled that he was not good enough for the Premier League.

Shortly thereafter Promise was before signing a contract at Feyenoord Rotterdam. However, he later decided to sign for Turkish club Gençlerbirliği Ankara. His first game for his new club was on August 5, 2005. Isaac made ​​his first goal on 17 September 2005 in league play against local rivals MKE Ankaragucu.

Up to the end of his contract on 30 June 2008, the Nigerians played 92 games for Gençlerbirliği in the Süper Lig, scoring 29 goals.

After his contract expired at Gençlerbirliği Ankara and no longer was extended, Trabzonspor signed him a free transfer. His contract had a term of four years.

In the summer of 2009/10 season Promise joined Manisaspor. Here he quickly established himself as a performer and had its best time in Spielteit 2011/12. Here he was with eleven league goals one of the most successful strikers in the league. But after his club missed the league, gave Promise announced its intention to leave the club.

After his contract expired with Manisaspor the summer of 2012, he moved to first division club Antalyaspor free transfer.

National

Promise made ​​his first game for the Nigerian national football team during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games against the Netherlands. In addition to his first call to national team, he was appointed captain for the tournament.
