Isaac Spratt
Isaac Spratt (* 1799 in Ibsley, † 1876 ) was an English non-fiction author and toy retailers.
Life and work
Isaac Spratt was since 1840 the owner of a toyshop in the Brook Street 1 (later number 18) in London's West End. He was married and had four children. In 1856, he registered the first printed rules for croquet. In 1860 he wrote badminton battledore, which was a description of the situation at the time of the badminton sport.
