Isaac Van Wart

Isaac Van Wart ( * 1760 in Greenburgh, New York, † May 23, 1828, also written Van Wert ) was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War.

Life

Isaac Van Wart was a farmer in Westchester County, New York. In the American War of Independence he served as a soldier. An engraving by Daniel Berger after a presentation by Daniel Chodowiecke from 1784 tells the story of the spy John André, the three men, John Paulding, Isaac Van Wart and David Williams near Tarrytown (New York) is taken into custody.
