Isabel Blanco

Isabel Blanco ( born May 10, 1979 in Bergen, Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player who plays for FC Midtjylland Håndbold.

Blanco played initially at Vadmyra, Kjøkkelvik, Nordnes and Tertnes IL, where she was retrained from backcourt player to circle player. At age 19, the right-handed joined the Spanish club Ferrobus Mislata Tortajada. Blanco went back to Tertnes 1999 and left a year later the club. Then she played with the Danish club Ikast - bording EH. After Blanco from 2004 to 2006 was active when league rivals Aalborg DH, she returned to Ikast - bording, which later merged with FC Midtjylland. Since summer 2011, it runs on for the Norwegian club Larvik HK tip.

Isabel Blanco completed so far 86 games for the Norwegian national handball team. Together with the Norwegian team, they won the 2004 and 2008 European Championship. The Norwegian continued to participate in the World Cup 2013.

Her father Fernando is a former Spanish footballer, who was active in the 1970s at Brann Bergen.
