Isabel Kerschowski

Isabel Kerschowski ( born January 22, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German football player who currently 04 Leverkusen has a contract with Bundesliga side Bayer.

Career

Association

Isabel Kerschowski grew up in Berlin's Bright village. In her youth she was a successful athlete. After her twin sister Monique suffered a cartilage injury in the knee in 2000, she began quite by chance with the football games. When she wanted to buy new soccer shoes, they happened to meet a representative of the BSC Marzahn, the new players looking for the girls team. Within a short time Kerschowski was appointed to the Berlin team selection. In 2005 she won the Berlin selecting the U-18 countries Cup and was top scorer of the tournament. Her talent was also the first FFC Turbine Potsdam not hidden. In summer 2005, she moved with her sister to the Bundesliga. At the same time they visited from now to the boarding school at the Potsdamer sports school.

In July 2006 Kerschowski won the U-19 national team's European Championship in Switzerland. In the final, they scored two goals. In July 2007, she defended the U-19 selection as European champion. In 2008, she finished with the U-20 national team to third place at the World Cup in Chile. Last Kerschowski belonged until 2010 to the cadres of the U-23 national team, for which she was able to achieve five goals in twelve games.

On 10 May 2007 was the European Championship qualifier in Wales debut in the German national team. Nearly six years later it was due to injury of Bianca Schmidt of Germany coach Silvia Neid -nominated for the Algarve Cup in 2013. There she came in the game against Japan at their second outing for the senior team. In the run up to the European Championships, she was appointed later in the provisional Germany squad after injury-related cancellation of Alexandra Popp.
